I heart you with all my brain.

Well. I have no excuses.

I've been absent far, FAR too long. And for that, I will never forgive myself.  With how I've acted, I simply don't deserve friends to love my adorable, witty and informative blog.

Okay, are you all convinced that I'm sorry I haven't been more attentive to your Bedding Down needs? I sure hope so. Groveling really wears a sister out.

So, what's NEW!?!?! I've categorized our updates for easier perusal. No need to send a monetary expression of your gratitude. A simple, elegant and handmade thank you card, with thoughtful inscriptions and a few personal, family mementos will be just fine.

HESSTON PLANT CO.

Well, we're getting plants in by the thousands every week for the next few months. This week, we got 7 boxes of plants (which adds up to about 5500 plants) and we planted them all. Yay us! Dirty fingernails are definitely a daily side-effect of a greenhouse job. Who could have expected that?!? Oh, other big greenhouse news - our website is up and running! Check it out at www.hesstonplantco.com. I heart it with all my brain.

Side note - I laughed A LOT at that last little gem. I think that's my new thing. I heart it with all my brain.

PERSONAL ADVENTURES

Where to begin? Our (house's) a-holes got filled! Thank heavens. Those bare a-holes were really putting a damper on my interior decorating agenda. I would add a photo of our new, full walls. However, I am currently hanging at my parent's house in Lindsborg. Which segues beautifully into my next topic...

Joel and I are helping to run the family "farm" this month. For instance, this morning, Joel collected eggs, fed chickens (not eggs), gave the rams and ewes some hay, fed the Great Pyrenees (there's only 4 of them) and broke water for all the animals. Yes, you heard that right. He peed for all the animals. They just love to watch humans pee.

Okay, no. He broke the ICE on the dogs' WATER. They were thankful though.

One of four.

My morning was spent making us a delicious breakfast of farm-fresh eggs, bacon and gluten-free pancakes. Oh, and they were topped with gluten-free maple syrup. Did you know that most of the maple syrup you get at the store contains very little actual maple syrup? The real stuff costs more, but is SO much more delicious. Just another helpful tip from your friend, me!

PUPPY TIMES:

The dogs have mostly been hanging out. Fern visits the greenhouses a lot, and runs around like a crazy dog. Here's a photo that basically sums up everything they've been up to.

The sky is the limit for Gobi.

Well, I'm going to go ahead and call this a post. I've very much appreciated your sincere reading of my bloggings, and I hope that you'll come again.

I'm Kiley
